Survey Report (access to clean drinking water)

21st Century Literacy
Survey Report
Access to clean drinking water around the world

Introduction

Access to clean drinking water is a major problem that occurs in our world. The problem has grown dramatically over the past years making it lead to many results including people in unmodernized countries become very ill. I decided to set an awareness for this topic by creating a survey and placing on my blog to show the problems that are set in our world, that some people don’t even know about.

Questions:

  1. What do you know about life straw so far?

  2. Approx.. How many children die each year due to dirty drinking water?
  3. Write 3 facts about lifestraws and how they can help us around the world

Results:

Many results came in after the form was made and some answers came out very interesting. For the first question “What do you know about lifestraws so far?”, many people didn’t know they exist or had the smallest knowledge about it. This shows that this dangerous world problem hasn’t been addressed enough for people to notice. Now moving on to the second question “ Approx..How many children die each year due to dirty drinking water?” with a marvelous result 88.9% answered correctly, however the last 11.15 were wrong. The pie chart below shows the statistics of the answers my classmates have responded with.

On the third and last question “Write 3 facts about lifestraws and how they can help us around the world,” the understanding of this utility increased dramatically showing the clear understanding of the lifestraw and the use/benefits with the impacts on our world.
Conclusion:

It has been proven that the people who filled the survey understanding on the lifestraw grew and figured how we can use them to help the unmodernized countries around the world. Those people seem interested and have a strong belief of helping the problems with access to clean drinking water.
